TMJ THERAPY
TMD is TemporoMandibular Joint Disorder. Some symptoms include clicking or popping of the jaw, pain upon opening or closing, or even tension headaches and pains along your temples, behind the ears or on your neck. If left untreated, TMD can get to a severe state which can absolutely debilitate the normal functions of the jaw such as chewing and eating. Our practice is committed to early screenings for TMD and believe in treating the condition conservatively. Routine therapy includes the fabrication of occlusal nightgaurds and splints as well as the TENS machine.
